Monday, August 30, 2004

I'm not really fond of candies (i love chips)...but everytime we pass by this store in Rockwell called Sweet Factory( or even from a distance), we make it a point to drop by....even without any intentions of buying, i really dunno whats in this store that you'll always end up having a plastic bag full of candies...hard, soft down to gums and gummies...its really fun to scoop different kinds of candies in all shapes and sizes...

Sunday, August 29, 2004

Yes it's her birthday...and yes she had her FIRST MONTHLY PERIOD...how ironic!!! The funny thing, it was her Dad who discovered it...she was lying down reading a book and unconsciously she lifted her nightgown...and there it was...at first the Dad thought it was just a design...oh geez...what a design, hehehe...a little embarassed, she couldnt look at her undies, so my husband called me...and yes...its confirmed, she's having her first monthly period.

And the Dad is going gaga...sent sms to his sister and my sisters...now he's waiting for everyone's reply...isnt that cute? hehehe...he's now even telling me to start counting...for the 28 day cycle...oh my...this is too much!!!! i can't handle this...

:: Happy Birthday Louise ::

My daughter Patricia Louise turned 11 today...and she went shopping like there's no tomorrow...she didn't buy clothes or anything...here's what she got herself...

and of course, we ate at her favorite restaurant...Tong Yang Hot Pot and Shabu-shabu...

She must really be special (having spent numerous bdays here) for them to come up with this...

i guess the reason why kids and adults enjoy eating here is that they get to choose and cook their food...its like going to market, except that food is laid down neatly...all cleaned up....

and here is where you you cook...

arrrggghhhh....never again will i eat as much...*burps*

and here's my prayer for you my dear daughter...I pray for good health and strength, wisdom as you study and above all i pray that you will grow in the knowldege of our Lord Jesus Christ. I love you Wisi!

Swimming? Anyone?

Thursday, August 26, 2004

Once again, part of Quezon City was under water today because of strong rains...

how come they didn't move their cars? hmmm, i wonder where the owners were...

in some areas (along the riverside), water could almost cover some of the houses...and for those ones who have second floors, once the rain starts, all they do is bring all their stuffs to the second flr...yeah this is true...

and this is the worst i've seen...araneta avenue...i think water could get overhead here...you can barely see the trunks of the trees...

12th Wedding Anniversary

Monday, August 23, 2004

Today is our 12th Wedding Anniversary...but Nelson had work...so i had a date with my kids instead...i asked my son if he could treat me to dinner since their dad is not around...why josh in particular? it's because you can't get him to spend...he's a little stingy you know...but since it was our anniversay, he decided to spend for the dinner (did i give him a choice here? ;-) ...since he is the one spending, i made him choose which restaurant...and he picked TGIF...but i suggested Jollibee (ala McDonald's) coz i know it could get way beyond his budget (knowing him...hehehe), but he insisted on TGIF...so off we went to TGIF...while waiting for our food to be served, instead of the kids coloring (they give out coloring sheets)...this is what they did...

and Josh too Posted by Hello

now it's slowly sinking in...my kids are all grown ups (trying hard)...coloring doesn't interest them anymore...

Finally food is served...

and Josh wanted me to blog about his favorite chocolate shake...with his super duper OA smile...

...after we finished eating, Josh asked for the bill...and when it came, he asked for his wallet, but the yaya forgot to bring it...and he gives me this kind of look...this is what i get for teasing him...

 Posted by Hello

so i told him that i'll be the one to pay instead, and when we get home he can pay me...so he took a look at the bill so that he would know how much he owed me...and guess what? he didnt like to pay the whole of it (as expected)...all he could give is just 500 pesos (i knew it)!!! oh...poor mom!!!

while i was away getting the car...he asked his yaya...how much do we spend if we ate at Jollibee instead? and the yaya said something like 300 bucks...and he goes...we should have gone there instead...and he even told the waiter...your food is expensive here...so there goes my cute lil JOSH again, not afraid to say his piece!!!

"But I Got Here First"

Thursday, August 19, 2004

I have trained my kids to be a little independent...and part of this is falling in line and paying for their food...this little incident happened at Starbucks...my son was already next in line when this girl (about in her early 30's maybe) so confidently walks into starbucks, ignoring the queue...and started to order...i was a little irritated and gave her a blank stare...(which means hey can't you see there's a queue?) ignoring my stare, she goes like "excuse me"...but my son won't move...by this time i was really super duper irritated...so in an angry tone, i asked by son to give way...and these were his exact words...*with arms folded* (he was angry too) "But i got here first"...the girl so ashamed of herself (she was dumbfounded) apologized and was in a hurry to leave...(and at the back of my mind...beh...you think you can get away with that???)

he still enjoyed his fave drink despite what happened  Posted by Hello

this is the nice thing about kids...they don't get bothered afterwards about things that has just happened...all they think about is play...play...play
